Biology at Work

Molecular Devices Analyst®GT Multimode Microplate Readers passed the validation criteria under the following conditions:
Using a 620/35nm excitation filter, a 682/22nm emission filter, a 650nm dichroic mirror; instrument was set to 20,000 µs integration time and yielded a Z' >0.7 in 1:51 min.

Instrument Information
Analyst GT Multimode reader offers detection based on:
- Fluorescence intensity
- Fluorescence polarization
- Time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer (TR-FRET), including HTRF
- Luminescence
- Absorbance
Each assay detection mode has been optimized to deliver enhanced performance in terms of sensitivity, dynamic range, signal-to-noise and cross talk. Analyst GT supports 96-, 384- and 1536-well plate formats. Analyst GT achieves high performance at high read speeds with second-generation SmartOptics, a unique system that selects and configures light sources, filters, detectors, and optical paths to ensure maximum assay performance.
Ultimate Assay Versatility
The scientist is not limited to using assays with one-wavelength or even one mode. Analyst GT supports multiple-wavelength assays, enabling users to measure up to eight different wavelengths per well. In addition to end-point reads, the instrument can perform slow kinetic measurements.
Workstation Or Robotic Operation
Analyst systems have a proven record in HTS laboratories worldwide and are integrated into automation systems from all major vendors. Analyst GT builds on this reputation with Ethernet communication and activeX support. Analyst GT can also be run as a workstation, using either 20- or 40- plate magazines in the optional patented bidirectional stacker with barcode reader.
