BellBrook Labs Introduces the Transcreener™ KINASE TR-FRET Assay

Transcreener™ Assays rely on homogenous immunodetection of nucleotides, which means robust, generic detection of entire families of drug targets.  With the introduction of the Transcreener™ KINASE TR-FRET Assay, BellBrook is extending ADP detection beyond our original far-red FP format.

The Transcreener™ KINASE TR-FRET Assay is a competitive, time-resolved fluorescence resonance energy transfer (TR-FRET) immunoassay for the detection of ADP.  It relies on a proprietary monoclonal antibody that differentiates ADP from ATP with high selectivity.  The Transcreener™ KINASE TR-FRET Assay can be used for any enzyme class that produces ADP, including protein, lipid or carbohydrate kinases, ATPases, DNA helicases, and carboxyltransferases. Designed as a simple “mix and read” assay, it provides an excellent signal at low ATP conversion resulting in overall Z’> 0.6. The assay can accommodate from 1 µM to 100 µM ATP. Rock solid and truly flexible.

• Smart        Use one single set of reagents and reduce your costs.

• Relevant    Pharmacologically relevant data.

• Direct         Reduced potential for compound interference as compared with other coupled enzyme methods.

• Sensitive    Z’ factor values > 0.6 at low ATP conversion rates.

All of these benefits mean one simple screening method, streamlined assays, reduced development costs and accelerated drug discovery.
